I actually stayed at The Pierre the last time I was in NYC. I love old fashion, elegant hotels. One afternoon my husband and I were taking a walk in the neighbourhood (Upper East side) and saw some papparazzies outside The Mark. I of course got curious and went inside to see (no shame). No celebs spotted, but I fell completely in love with the hotel. Contemporary, luxurious, clean design. We had a glass of Champagne in the bar and decided that this is our New York hotel from now on.

The Mark is located in the heart of Manhattan’s most elegant neighborhood, the Upper East Side, close to Central Park and The Met.

The building’s interiors were reimagined by French designer Jacques Grange in 2009. In addition to housing 100 hotel rooms and 56 suites, the building features a Jean Georges Vongerichten restaurant and bar, a Frédéric Fekkai salon and hotel city bikes. (Wikipedia)

Other perks at The Mark: Ladurée macarons, personal shopping at Bergdorf’s, custom bicycles with a gourmet picnic basket created by celebrated chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The list goes on..
